Hortus Restaurant
Enjoy eating at the Monastery
Restaurante Hortus
In the former chapter house of the Monastery of San Francisco (1492), where the monks shared silence, bread, and prayer, Hortus is born today: a restaurant that unites history, nature, and gastronomy.
Our kitchen, led by Celia Jiménez, combines Andalusian tradition with innovation, using fresh produce from our garden, game meats, and citrus fruits that evoke the exchange with the New World..
Each dish celebrates the seasonality and richness of Córdoba, in a welcoming space surrounded by art..
The restaurant, which has been a dining room for over 500 years, invites you to take ownership of the experience. If you wish, you can personally harvest produce from the garden, which we will then cook for you.
